Week 4 Living History at the USS Constitution
Susan brought us to explore around the USS constitution which is just 10 minutes walk from the office. USS Constitution is a wooden-hulled, three masted heavy frigate of the US Navy. Named by President George Washington after the constitution of US. Launched in 1797, she is the world’s oldest commissioned naval vessel afloat. Retire from active service in 1881, she served as a museum ship in 1907 and in August 2012, She is bethed at Pier 1 in Charlestown Navy Yard to commemorate the 200th anniversary of her victory over Guerriere.
