Week 1: Receiving Creative Freedom
I was briefed by Susan on the company goal and operation. Being the creative designer of the company. I’m in charge of designing the upcoming New Media Film festival program guide 2013 and the promotional press kit for the company. It was a challenge and great opportunity as I was given the full creative direction to come out with the idea and concept to rebrand the promotional press kit and online banner design. After researching on several major film festival program layout and design, I’ve learned the layout and programing of film festival for promotional point of view. By research- ing on the topic and coming out with a design to appeal to the different crowd was a challenge but I’ve managed to adopt by designing it as magazine layout to appeal to the crowd. Susan was really happy with the design and the execution of the graphic.
